Amador Community Foundation's Emergency Crisis Assistance Fund (ECAF), is an innovative new program to support Amador County individuals and families facing a crisis such as fire, accidents or illness. The goal of ECAF is to financially assist in the recovery process immediately following a crisis.  The ECAF is basically set up so that when a crisis occurs, the Amador Community Foundation can instantly step forward and award a financial grant while the individual or family is coping with what has just occurred. The fund is not specific to any event or single person; that is to say, this fund is a collective of funds raised from donations, to take care of Amador County as a whole. An individual would not donate to the fund for a specific person or family, they would donate to the fund for the betterment of Amador County as a group.
